Lindsay Lohan will reportedly not be signing on to the upcoming Bravo program The Real Housewives Of Dubai.

Despite the fact she lives in Dubai and her personal drama is the stuff of showbiz legend, she has not been asked to join the program, TMZ reports.

Bravo announced this Monday that a new Real Housewives would be bowing in the United Arab Emirates next year – the first one outside the United States.

Lindsay has reality TV experience – she had a short-lived MTV show in 2019 called Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club about the staff of a hot spot she owns in Mykonos.

Dubai, which has a reputation as a top-flight party destination for the international jet set, welcomed Lindsay as a resident around 2015.

By then the Mean Girls star had very publicly flamed out in an array of personal troubles including multiple arrests and court-ordered rehab stints.

In the years since her various mugshots have been turned into coaster sets and she has gamely sent herself up in a well-received Lawyer.com ad.

A few years ago Lindsay told Emirates Woman that she relocated to Dubai for a ‘fresh start’ away from the glare of publicity she endured at home.

She also maintained that the city’s party reputation was not the draw as ‘it’s not like I’m going out at night much, it’s a very different lifestyle for me.’

Lindsay added: ‘I moved here for that purpose – I don’t have to be publicly seen all the time, or discuss what I’m doing.’

Back in 2015 she set off rumors that she had converted to Islam when she was seen carrying a Koran while walking around New York.

She said on the Istanbul-based station Habertürk TV that she was ‘crucified’ in the United States for walking with a Koran.

‘They made me seem like Satan. I was a bad person for holding that Koran and that – I was so happy to leave and go back to London after that, because I felt so unsafe in my own country after this,’ she said.

‘This is my belief – if this something I wanna learn this is my personal, my own will. This is not for you to express. If you wanna say it keep it to yourself.’

The conversion rumors restarted in 2017 when the Parent Trap star wiped her Instagram and put ‘Alaikum salam’ in her bio.

However the bio may have been just a sign of cultural outreach to her new country of residence as her mother Dina told Gossip Cop: ‘She has not converted.’

Andy Cohen announced The Real Housewives Of Dubai on the Today show this Monday and gave a statement saying: ‘Everything’s bigger in Dubai, and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international Housewives series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides.’

The program was announced about a year after the UAE relaxed multiple laws involving some of the personal conduct shown on the Real Housewives.

Near the end of 2020 the strictly Islamic country decriminalized the act of drinking or buying alcohol without a license.

Since Muslims had been unable to get licenses previously, the changes in the law have now made it easier for them to drink.

The loosening of legal strictures in the UAE has also allowed couples to lawfully live together without getting married.
