LOS ANGELES– Netflix said Friday that it had fired an employee for divulging private monetary details about what it paid for Dave Chappelles funny unique “The Closer,” which some condemned as being transphobic.
The media watchdog group GLAAD stated that “anti-LGBTQ content” violates Netflixs policy to turn down programs that incite hate or violence.

“Our leadership has shown us that they do not promote the values for which we are held,” stated a Monday post on a public company Slack channel, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Several Netflix employees, including a software engineer who determines as transgender, had slammed the unique. Transgender workers and their co-workers are being urged to stage a walkout next Wednesday in demonstration.
The staff member, who wasnt named, shared “confidential, commercially delicate information outside the business,” a Netflix statement said.
Netflix stated a review of its internal gain access to logs identified the details to a single individual, who “admitted that they downloaded and shared sensitive business info externally.”
