Prevailing wisdom and almost every mock draft on earth have the New York Jets using the No. 2 choice overall in the 2021 NFL Draft on BYU quarterback Zach Wilson.


SIs Albert Breer dropped this nugget Tuesday on Twitter which indicates Wilson to the Jets is not guaranteed:

Now, its entirely possible this is just due diligence by Jets basic supervisor Joe Douglas. After all, you never ever understand what can take place when the draft starts in two weeks. Perhaps somebody makes Douglas an offer he cant refuse for the No. 2 choice and the Jets move down the board. Douglas still requires to stroll away from the draft with a brand-new franchise QB after sending out Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers if thats the case.

The Jets and Broncos will be represented at Justin Fields second pro day (Wednesday) in Columbus, per sources. Both had GMs at his very first pro day recently.

Something is for specific: Jets fans can have their voices heard prior to Douglas is on the clock. Tuesday on Twitter, owner Woody Johnson reached out to the fan base for tips on what the Jets should finish with their first-round selections:
