Arclight was the theater in Hollywood that validated you were ideal to have moved to L.A. due to the fact that you were insane about movies. I really hope someone conserves the dome (once again)!

Far every film Ive done I make choices believing about the experience of seeing it in the best theater. That theater in my head was always an Arclight. Sad to see that choice go away for us motion picture fans.

Revitalize for updates … On Monday, a number of popular Hollywood figures took to social networks to mourn the closure of Arclight Cinemas.
“Every single person who worked at the Arclight loved movies, and you felt it. Every single person who worked at the Arclight enjoyed motion pictures, and you felt it. The Arclight Hollywood was my most favorite theatre in the world to see motion pictures. ArcLight Hollywood is my preferred location to see movies. I always enjoyed that The Arclight
The Arclight Hollywood was my most favorite theatre on the planet to see motion pictures. My home court of movie theater in LA. When I moved here in 2009 and the last film before the pandemic there, I saw my very first motion picture in LA there. Genuinely a downer. https://t.co/sziPORAGcA.

Well this draws. Every individual who operated at the Arclight loved motion pictures, and you felt it. Sending love to every usher, projectionist and manager who rocked that blue shirt and made it such an unique place.

On The Other Hand, Barry Jenkins– the Oscar winner behind Moonlight, and upcoming Amazon series The Underground Railroad– merely tweeted, “F ** K.”.
I saw a Barbra Streisand do a Q&A after a showing of Yentl at the ArcLight– it was a Tuesday and I bought tickets for it 30 minutes beforehand. Like, WHAT ?? It was bananas and fantastic. Ugh, I cant decrease this road with this place– there are too lots of great motion picture memories.

Thank you ArcLight Cinemas and Pacific Theatres for the many wonderful cinematic experiences. Cinephiles will definitely miss out on the renowned Cinerama Dome, which is such an important part of the Los Angeles motion picture culture! https://t.co/iMSqGj89sI.

I enjoy the Arclight. Hollywood, Valley. They were terrific.
One of the most significant thrills of my life was seeing my small 16 mm motion picture shown in the Cinerama Dome.
Ive seen so numerous of my preferred motion pictures there. So lots of terrific after-movie Q and As.
This is a real blow.

If the Arclight is actually going away, I will be crushed– it is such an important part of my life in Los Angeles. I have been so, SO looking forward to the day when this is all over and I could return to @ArcLightCinemas …

Roland Emmerich, the writer-director behind films including Midway and Independence Day, thanked ArcLight and Pacific Theatres (which is also closing) for the “lots of fantastic cinematic experiences” they offered. “Cinephiles will definitely miss out on the renowned Cinerama Dome, which is such an important part of the Los Angeles movie culture!” he included.
Deadline initially broke the news today that Arclight and Pacific Theatres would not be reopening, after being financially hard struck by the Covid-19 pandemic. “This was not the outcome anyone desired,” said theater owner Decurion, “however regardless of a substantial effort that tired all possible alternatives, the company does not have a practical way forward.”.
This is so uncomfortable. The Arclight is my go-to. Tidy, fantastic sound, designated stadium seating, terrific popcorn, usher film introductions. A real movie-going experience. https://t.co/EtkfA9sMCx.
